Weary climbing

There is a point on Ebbetts where it gets to be a very weary business.

I kept passing people. The climbing was hard work and the day was getting hot.

And all the way up Ebbetts I saw an increasing number of cyclists on their way back down. These cyclists had not just completed the climb I was doing, but had descended down the other side, and climbed back up. So they were way ahead of me. How do they do it?

People who know the course look for this lake. When you reach the lake you are almost at the pass. Many cyclists used this spot as an impromptu rest stop. I kept going.

It may not look like much but this is the pass, and ever so thankfully arrived at.

I get my third sticker.
